About us

So, you may have guessed, I'm half Danish on my mother's side. Danish Christmas' were a staple of our childhood. Every other year we would pack the car up, load up the presents and head to the promise of snow, sunset at 3pm and a whole lot of Hygge.

And Hygge it is, dark wintry evenings with coffee and Kanelstang (known as Cinnamon Social to the English). A tree adorned with real candles and centre place on the very Danish design sofa two Nisseman wearing their red hats.

We would go to the Christmas market held in Hamlets castle in Helsingor where each year without fail - I would buy a Nissehat. These fantastically long Christmas hats (65cm) are just fantastic. You would never guess they weren't wool.

Returning the UK the hats would be the talk of the village and so I thought sod it....lets bring some back to Britain!

Please see below the only photo of me in a Nissehat!

Glaede Jul and Happy hyggeligt Christmas!
